In line with the International Astronomical Union Symposium 361: “Massive stars near and far”, a summer school will run for three days in the week prior to the symposium. The workshop will cover key theoretical topics such as stellar evolution, stellar atmospheres and population synthesis, reflecting on the symposium programme. Participants of the summer school are encouraged to attend the symposium following the workshop. The summer school will take place from 13th to 15th May 2020, with the symposium following on 18th – 22nd May 2020. Based in the I-LOFAR Education Centre in Birr, the school will host a selection of early career astronomers primarily at the beginning of their PhD or Masters degree.
The registration fee includes facilities, lunches and coffee breaks and a contribution to the expenses for the lecturers and tutors, but not accommodation.
